Digit, One of My Favorite Apps for Savings

Digit, One of My Favorite Apps for Savings

This Tool will GUARANTEE that you save!

** UPDATE: Digit is free for the first 30 days, then there's a $5/month fee.

Soooo, Digit is my new best friend! (sorry Dreena & Linda)

Why? Because this FREE  (for the first 30 days, then it's $5/month) app studies my spending habits, then automatically finds small amounts of money that I don’t spend and saves for me. Yes! It takes the discipline out of saving.

That means no more excuses. I am saving (yes, I use it),  even when I’m sleeping, and so can you.

In the first few days, it transferred $1.47 from my checking account to my digit savings account. I like how it squirrels away small sums of money so I don't even feel like I'm saving, but I am!

  • All money saved is FDIC insured up to $250,000.
  • It's safe. All of your personal info is anonymized, encrypted and securely stored using state of the art security measures.
  • You can also withdraw anytime you want by texting, "withdraw" and you can get you money back to the account you have linked to Digit.
  • Your savings "earns money". Digit is not a bank, therefore isn't allowed to pay interest. However they do have a rewards program, Digit Plus, that pays you cash bonuses for hitting 3-month savings goals.

Here's how...Each week, Digit automatically analyze your account and look for money you’ve kept in Digit for 3 months. You get 5 cents for every $100, every 3 months for as long as you keep saving.

It literally takes less than 5 minutes to get started with Digit.

I know you have 5 minutes. Don’t wait, click here to begin saving:  http://thebudgetnistablog.com/digit

UPDATE: They recently launched a new app for iphone users! & Android users. So no matter what kind of phone you have, you can still use Digit here: http://thebudgetnistablog.com/digit

How does Digit work?

1. Connect your bank account

To use Digit, you need to connect your checking account. This allows Digit to analyze your income and spending, and find small amounts of money it can safely set aside for you.

Digit uses 128-bit bank-level security, and we don't store your bank login.

2. Digit saves a little every week

Every 2 or 3 days, Digit transfers some money (usually $5-50) from your checking account to your Digit savings. Digit never transfers more than you can afford, so you don't have to worry about over-drafting your account. In fact, they have a no-overdraft guarantee.

3. Access your savings anytime

Digit knows you're saving for good reasons – a trip, a big purchase, or even just a rainy day. When you need your savings, send Digit a text message. Digit will transfer the money from your Digit savings back to your checking account next business day. Digit allows unlimited transfers, with no minimums, and no fees.
