Financial Fear: What Would You Do Without it?

Financial Fear: What Would You Do Without it?

financial fearHey Sis-Star,

We all suffer from financial fear, right?

What would you do if you weren't afraid?

This morning I was on my best friend's FB page and I saw this video (below). It really made me think. As women, were are particularly susceptible to fear, especially financial fear.

For example, although I own my own business, I still find it hard to ask for payment. I still accept less than I know I'm worth and I am still afraid to demand that I be compensated fairly and on time. My biggest financial fear is that no one will see the value in what I provide and in-turn, will expect me to give my services away for free or almost-free.

If I was unafraid, I would just ask for what I wanted and not accept less than what I deserve. I wouldn't worry if clients said no or declined my services. I wouldn't let my my fear of not being seen as "nice", get in the way of running a profitable business.

Sis-Star, please watch this video and do the homework with me below.

Your homework:

  • Create a Financial Fear List. This is a list of the things you're afraid to financially do, say, ask for or acknowledge.
  • Share your Financial Fear List with me in the comments below
  • TODAY, choose one thing right NOW on your Financial Fear List that you'll take action on.

Will you:

  1. Make that call?
  2. Write that email?
  3. Open that letter?
  4. Admit to that mistake?
  • Now DO IT! 🙂
  • Share what you've done to tackle your financial fear with me in the comments.

Yay! I'm excited. I've already written 2 emails and am working on 2 more. I want to knock out the items on my Financial Fear List by the end of the day. 🙂

Do you personally know other sis-stars who live in financial fear? They need to read this post and watch this video! Please share it with them. Let's help each other live on the "awesome-side-of-life", one that's void of financial fear.

One of my friends pointed out something REALLY important to me about pushing past fear.  I called him because there was an item on my Financial Fear List that I couldn't seem to bring myself to do something about it.  He gave me some great advice.  And guess what? It worked!

He told me, "Tiffany!! Stop thinking!!! The more you think, the less likely you are to take action. Stop thinking and just do it."

He was right. I had been thinking about the "what-ifs, whys, what-fors, if-onlys, maybe, coulds & woulds. The more I thought, the more afraid I became, the less likely getting over my fear was. With him on the phone I stopped thinking and started moving.

It worked for me and I hope it works for you. So here goes: SIS-STAR!!!! STOP THINKING!!! JUST DO IT! 🙂

Thank you M.F.
